Reporting location for this position is Del Norte Coast Redwoods Mill Creek State Park - Crescent City, CA.
This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer, Supervising Ranger for Jedediah and Mill Creek Redwoods State Park. The Park Aide is responsible for providing quality customer service, answering visitor questions via phone or in person, and explaining rules and regulations. Job duties include collecting camping and day use fees; selling passes ; cash handling and reporting; counting and recording visitor attendance; receive and relay reports of emergencies; and perform light housekeeping. In addition, the Park Aide must be proficient in basic use of a computer to download camping reservations; report funds collected; and check work e-mail account. Must be able to work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
Park Aides must be able to work independently, follow instructions; use supplies and equipment required and provided by the job. If hired, Park Aides must be willing to purchase and wear a uniform.
Multiple positions exist.
This position requires a valid Driver's License. Please provide proof of eligibility with application.
