PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) - ANGELES DISTRICT / MALIBU SECTOR / MALIBU LAGOON STATE BEACH
Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application. The reporting location for this position is the Adamson House at Malibu Lagoon State Beach. This position will work under the supervision of the State Park Interpreter III (Interpretation and Education Program Manager).
The Park Aide will assist the Adamson House Museum with tour ticketing under the R2S2 system, working with volunteer docents, public and group house tours and the wedding program. Park Aides typically sell tickets, collect fees, answer questions from the public, explain park rules and regulations, maintain and operate light vehicles, account for supplies and equipment used for the operation of the Adamson House Museum and maintain facilities. Leading house tours will be mandatory if Docents are not available. Typical schedule will be Wednesday-Saturday 10:00 am - 3:30 PM. During the wedding season: April through October, additional hours on Saturdays and Sundays will be available.
