The Opportunity:

The Muhammad Ali Center (MAC) values the critical role that frontline staff play in creating an onsite experience that is accessible and inclusive for all. To support this, we are seeking an energetic, guest-service-oriented person. This person will provide an excellent service to the guest admission and retail experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

● This role will have no supervisory responsibilities.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Greets & welcomes guests to the Center
• Handles admissions/ticketing for the Centers guests
• Assist customers with merchandise in the MAC Store
• Responds to customer requests as directed via telephone, mail, email promptly, and follows through in a timely manner to assure customer satisfaction
• Proficient use of point-of-sale equipment and software
• Participate in activities in the fulfillment of the Store’s operating objectives and sales strategies
• Maintain general cleanliness of the MAC Store by stocking displays, dusting, vacuuming, and overall cleanliness as directed by management
• Consults with the management on marketing and merchandising concepts
• Works harmoniously with others to get the job done; respond positively to instructions and procedures; able to work well with staff in various departments, co-workers, peers, and managers; and helps to set a tone of cooperation within the organization.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of customer service and retail experience.

· Eligible to work for any employer in the United States

· Interested applicants must be available to work Wednesday – Sunday; additional hours if needed, evening (for special events), and some holidays.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A commitment to the Muhammad Ali Center’s mission and his six core principles
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Skillful with organizational, written, and verbal communication
• Proficient computer skills

Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

• Part Time 3-4 days per week for less than 30 hours
• Full Time 5 days per week at 37.5 hours
• Day shift required
• Includes mandatory weekends

Compensation:

The Muhammad Ali Center is prepared to offer a competitive nonprofit salary starting at $16.00 per hour. In addition, the Center offers a flexible work schedule and a comprehensive benefits package
