Visitor Center - Pizza Cook (Full-Time)

What you will do:
The Visitor CenterPizza Cook prepares and cooks pizzas, providing fast, friendly service to guests in the Tillamook Cheese Factory Visitors Center Cafe. You will work alongside our experienced team members to provide excellent guest service to the one million guests that visit us annually.
Pizza and the culinary experience at the Creamery are a critical component of the guest's experience of the Creamery and the Brand of TCCA. Every dish that a cook prepares at the Creamery needs to be executed with care and consistently. The pizza kitchen is guest facing. This role will be responsible for execution of food in front of guests. Therefore, it is important that the Pizza Cook keeps the highest of cleanliness and visual standards of a kitchen.
Here's a day in the life:
  • Cook orders quickly and correctly. Operate pizza oven and assorted appliances.
  • Prep for pizza and day-to day business. Transfer all prepped food into clean containers, label and take back dirty containers to the washroom.
  • Clean cooler, oven, and workstations. Wipe out refrigerator, and all counters and sinks. Help keep the walk-in refrigerator, freezer, and supply area neat, clean and organized.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures daily.
  • Stock all supplies with items necessary for the preparation of recipes. Notify the prep team in a timely manner if running low on any ingredients.
  • Label and stock daily/weekly orders from food service vendors.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Sanitary solution changed hourly.
  • Record temperatures of all refrigeration and freezer equipment at open and close. Notify correct personnel if temperatures are not incorrect range.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining an active Oregon food handler's card, and OLCC license (if over 18 years old)
  • Responsible for cross training with and supporting front of house associates, as needed, per management discretion - POS till knowledge, expo window, and food running may all be asked of associate
  • Responsible for cross training with and supporting other food and beverage line cooks, as needed, per management discretion - knowledge on how to work all stations, food safety guidelines, and side work

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with commercial food preparation and equipment preferred
  • Must obtain food handlers card within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting
  • Standing and/or walking
  • Lifting 25 lbs.
  • Vision for machine or computer operations
  • Hearing
