GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The School of Education at Pacific Lutheran University invites applications for a full-time, visiting position focused in education to begin September 1, 2024. The School of Education offers programs leading to teacher or administrator certification as well as a variety of programs and professional development offerings for already certified individuals. The hired candidate will teach the equivalent of 24 credit hours during the 2024-2025 academic year in areas related to Education in undergraduate and graduate programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in related field of teacher education, or curriculum and instruction.
- Teaching experience in K-12 schools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned doctorate in Education at the start of the appointment.
- Teaching experience in higher education teacher preparation.
- Academic knowledge or credentials in Special Education.
Responsibilities:
- Teach the equivalent of 24 credit hours per academic year. Courses focus on different aspects of teacher preparation with an emphasis on science and math education as well as technology integration.
- Part of the teaching load will be field supervision of between two and four candidates.
- Participation in department meetings, university service, and curriculum discussions is also expected.
