Description:
You are invited to submit an application to be considered for a position with more than one opening. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department. Rank and compensation will be based on experience and academic credentials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position. For positions within Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, an appropriate Master’s degree may replace the Doctoral requirement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline prior to the effective date of appointment (ABD candidates will be considered).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
- At least one term of teaching experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline at the undergraduate or graduate level, which could have been as a teaching assistant, adjunct, or full-time faculty.
- Engagement in at least one activity that provides service to their academic unit, College, University or the community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
- Attend meetings and prepare materials for teaching.
- Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
- Evaluate student coursework.
- Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
- Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.
- Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
