Job Summary:
Neurofenix is pioneering a mission-driven approach to neurological rehabilitation, leveraging our innovative NeuroPlatform to provide cutting-edge virtual care to patients post stroke and neurological injury. We are currently seeking a Virtual Occupational Therapist to join our team and play a key role in delivering our Upper Limb Stroke Program.
As a Virtual Occupational Therapist with Neurofenix, you will utilize our NeuroPlatform, which combines our NeuroBall advanced sensor-based technology with engaging tablet-based software, to provide high-intensity, high repetition and personalized upper limb rehabilitation to patients post stroke in the comfort of their own home. Your role will involve guiding patients through therapeutic and neuromuscular activities, tracking their progress, and adjusting treatment plans to maximize their recovery potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual evaluations, administer and collect outcome measures to determine a patient's rehabilitation needs and goals.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's level of impairment, goals, and progress.
- Lead virtual therapy sessions via telehealth platform guiding clients through a therapeutic program using the NeuroPlatform, therapeutic and neuromuscular activities to improve their motor skills, coordination, and independence in daily skills.
- Monitor patients progress and NeuroPlatform usage remotely using a Digital Clinician Dashboard and adjust therapy interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, remote therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with clients and their caregivers through an EMR system and in accordance with regulatory standards and company protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals/Physicians to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Collaborate with the R&D team on product and software design and development and provide input to the Clinical Research team to assist with clinical trials.
- Stay informed about advancements in neurological rehabilitation and virtual therapy practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Florida.
- Experience working with patients post stroke and a strong understanding of upper limb rehabilitation principles.
- Preference of 5 years minimum clinical experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage patients remotely.
- Familiarity with virtual communication platforms and technology for remote therapy sessions.
- Organized, self motivated and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
- Compassionate, and empathetic using a patient centered approach to care.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the provision of therapy services.
- Ability to navigate and document pertinent patient and product information in both EMR & CRM systems, experience with CareCloud is a plus.
- Passionate about technology in neurological rehabilitation and have deep knowledge of the latest evidence-based therapies.
Salary/Rate: Competitive
