Counselor Assistant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in a supportive role within a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care

Counselor Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist with admissions and intake processes, including gathering client information and completing necessary paperwork
• Schedule and coordinate counseling sessions for clients, ensuring timely access to care
• Follow up with clients and their families to provide support and gather feedback on treatment progress
• Assist with facilitating virtual platforms for telehealth sessions, including setting up technology and troubleshooting technical issues
• Provide virtual monitoring and support to clients during telehealth sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Collaborate with counselors and other members of the treatment team to coordinate care and support clients' treatment goals
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting all interactions and progress notes
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client cases and treatment plans
• Provide support and assistance to counselors as needed, including helping with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

Pay: $40,000-60,000

Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday 8-4pm EST
