Introduction
Sterling Technology Solutions was established in 2003 to manage IT for small to medium‐sized businesses in North and South Carolina, primarily in the Charlotte area. We are considered a Technology Services Provider or TSP. We are looking to fill a full-time position of vCIO Manager.
Position Objective
Establishing and maintaining customer business-level strategic relationships, then utilizing and building on these relationships to better understand customers' business goals and objectives. The vCIO is responsible for establishing technology budgeting and strategic roadmaps for customers that reduce business risk and facilitate technology improvements across the business.
This position is NOT a remote position and will be performed in our Charlotte office. We do allow remote work from time to time when family situations and other such matters arise.
Responsibilities
· Understand vCIO objectives and the role and function of internal team members
· Perform regular onsite Technology Business Reviews with customers
· Maintain frequent remote unique touches with customers
· Maintain, plan, and develop a strategic roadmap profile for each customer
· The vCIO will complete alignment reviews based on Technology Alignment Reviews
· Maintain clear and precise business and alignment objectives for each customer
· Maintain customers' technology budgets
· Contribute to the maintenance of Sterling Technology's standards library
· The vCIO will design and present technology proposals
· Provide the Project Team with a backlog of project work
· Design and maintain process and procedural documentation of Company tools and applications
· Provide accurate reports and metrics to Company management on the status and performance of Company tools and applications
· Maintain up-to-date version knowledge and certification (where applicable) of Company tools and applications
· As required, provide regular project reviews and report to the Chief Operating Officer
· Maintain a high level of customer and user satisfaction and relationships
· Keep abreast of the industry's relevant IT and telecommunication systems, hardware, and software applications
· Implement, participate, and promote Quality Assurance (QA) objectives, processes, and procedures of the company
· Assist in the training, mentoring, and development of staff
· Liaise with, manage, and advise customers, other consultants, and contractors and attend meetings as required
· Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position
Skills and Qualifications
To perform your various duties, the vCIO must exhibit many varied skills and qualifications. Communication, Leadership, and attention to detail are paramount in this role. A few of the specific skills the position requires include:
· Advanced qualifications in Business development/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
· Valid Driver's License
· Ability to quote projects
· Familiarity with TruMethods is a huge plus
· An all-around solid knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, and software applications
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network and server/workstation operating systems
· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Key Performance Indicators (KPIS)
· Improvements to the efficiency of other delivery areas.
· Maintenance of an up-to-date vCIO playbook
· # of unique client touches as set by the Vice President.
· # of Technology Business Reviews as appointed by the Vice President.
· Budget and strategic Customer planning for 1-3 years in advance.
· Generation of 20% (total Customer monthly MRR revenue) as non-recurring revenue Professional Services.
· Customer and staff satisfaction.
· Satisfactory achievement of ongoing targets, goals, and objectives as set by the Vice President.
· Accuracy of work undertaken, information and advice provided.
· Following instructions and completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner meet the requirements of the company, client, and regulatory standards.
