Scope of Work:
The Videographer/Content Creator will be responsible for all video and audio content supporting the initiatives of the Peace Operations Training Institute. This person will help develop and execute a video content plan to supplement online learning courses provided by the Institute.
This will be a contracted position, fully remote. The selected candidate will have his/her/their own editing computer with editing software and may have a quality video camera.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Establish a video production plan with the Institute’s Content Department.
· Design, edit, and produce video, audio, and graphic materials. This includes trimming shots, editing content to specified lengths, and assembling segments in a way that presents a story with maximum effect.
· Editing pre-existing videos to improve quality.
· Convert audio, video, graphics, and animation into distributable formats.
· Curate the organization’s video library.
· Review content for quality control and make corrections (both technical and editorial).
· Optimize videos for specified platforms and web hosting marketing zone targets (Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).
· Track and evaluate web analytics for online content.
· Troubleshoot technical issues.
· Shoot video and record audio when needed.
· Create Institute-specific video overlays, background sound, and other graphic elements to enhance visual and auditory impact.
· Produce videos using pre-existing scripts and visual resources.
· Suggest technical ideas to help staff achieve desired outcomes.
· Manage video project timelines and meet deadlines consistently.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
· Proficient in video production and editing software such as Premier, Final Cut, Audition, After Effects, Canva, etc. (as well as Photoshop and Lightroom).
· Skilled in techniques of lighting and capturing good quality sound.
· Skilled in post-production digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
· Understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and social media platform specifications.
· Ability to conceptualize and develop compelling and sharable video content according to style and branding guidelines.
· Demonstrated experience developing promotional videos for social media and working with longer video content.
· Creative and detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics and video storytelling.
· Knowledge of generative AI and evolving audiovideo technology.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail.

Rate range: $25-$31/hour
