About the role
We are looking for an experienced Video Producer/Shooter/Editor to join our exciting and expanding video department.
At Footballco, we live at the intersection of soccer and culture and are looking for creative and innovative candidates passionate about the beautiful game from the grassroots to professional levels.
Our U.S. video team is responsible for producing best in class editorial and commercial content for our channels and brand partners. You'll be joining a team with a start-up mentality, hungry to tell soccer related stories and grow the sport in the U.S.
Successful candidates know how to create content from ideation to completion. They're strong communicators who work well on a deadline and thrive when the ball is handed to them for that extra time spot kick. This person knows the importance of pre production and has experience working with clients. The ideal candidate can shoot video, lead an edit, and deliver a final product.
What You'll be doing:
- Oversee all production requirements from pre- through post-production including ideation, execution, and delivery of content
- Work within a small team and on your own to create new storytelling and revenue driving formats including social media shorts, original shows and series, and live streamed content
- Plan video shoots, including casting, budgeting, and scouting
- Lead efforts in researching, planning and delivering filmed content for digital platforms
- Execute brand partnership briefs based on client specifications
- Deliver content to required technical specifications
- Edit video content or provide briefs/rough cuts for editors in a remote editing workflow
- Copy proofreading and video content QC.
What you have:
- Experienced Video Producer, shooter, and editor who knows how to tell stories for a digital audience both through an editorial lens or with brand partners
- Skilled in creating content for social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, and Twitch.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to look ahead in content planning and automated workflows
- Excellent knowledge and experience shooting video content on Sony or Canon cameras. Including using associated equipment such as lighting, accessories and microphones.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere as an editor and working in a remote editing workflow including production pipelines, formatting, and distribution to social platforms.
- Knowledge of the rights management ecosystem relating to soccer content
- Ability to ascertain production requirements to optimally deliver creative concepts within fiscal and time constraints.
- Comprehensive experience in budget creation, tracking and reconciling.
- Demonstrable experience in confidently communicating concepts, budgets and issues with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of how branded content can complement and drive a wider strategy to encourage client audience engagement and growth.
- An understanding of data analytics as it relates to content performance on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, and Twitch, and the ability to use data to drive insights and performance for content across the board.
- Comfortable and confident in working with talent from players, to celebrities, to fans
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good attitude to help build culture on a new team
- Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with creatives, designers, account managers and strategists to create compelling work.
