ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly creative, skilled, and self-motivated Social Video Editor to join our growing Creative & Content team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a knack for creating compelling, share-worthy video content tailored to various social media platforms. This role requires a combination of post-production expertise, editing skills, creativity, and an understanding of social media trends to engage audiences effectively across agency clients. Huge bonus if you can do motion graphics!
You will need to be equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. You must have a strong voice on social media and the ability to give and take creative feedback. This role reports directly to the Associate Creative Director, Social.
NOTE: This is a remote role based out of our office in Venice, CA. Occasional travel may be required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the full post-production process to consistently create engaging, high-quality content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X
- Collaborate with the Creative & Content team to develop creative concepts and storylines that resonate with our target audience
- Apply editing techniques to enhance video content, including color correction, sound mixing, graphic design, and animation
- Keep a finger on the pulse of social trends, video formats, editing techniques, and software across platforms
- Translate relevant trends into brand-friendly content
- Consistently edit content to meet client notes and brand guidelines
- Manage on-time delivery of a high volume of assets across shoots and clients
- Ensure deliverables and timelines are met via the production calendar and post-production workflow
- Ensure deliverables get seen by the right internal parties for review and approval
- Properly collect and communicate feedback in an organized and professional manner
- Contribute and develop decks for internal and external presentations
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through execution and delivery within tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED: Link to your portfolio with relevant work samples that highlight your expertise in editing organic and paid social media content
- At least 4+ years of editing social media content for major brands or organizations (tech brand(s) preferred)
- Social first or digital marketing agency experience is highly preferred
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and an eye for visual aesthetics
- Mastery in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Capcut, and/or DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience and creative ability with Motion Graphics is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in other related software (e.g., Adobe Design, Keynote, Google Sheets, MS Office, etc...
- A "can-do" attitude and proven ability to collaborate well with others
- Strong ability to multitask. You thrive while managing multiple projects at the same time
- Well-organized with a tight process for ingesting, tagging, and storing media across clients and projects.
- Excellent understanding of production and post-production process
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to adhere to notes and see projects through to execution
