The Job At-A-Glance:
Q2's Marketing department is looking for talented Video Editor / Motion Designer to join our in-house brand, design and video team in Austin, TX. We're looking for someone who is not only possesses strong video editing experience with training and documentary / interview style videos, but who also has superior motion graphics skills for making infographic-style and 2D animations. Photography and video filming skills a plus, along with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
Our in-house video team creates and produces a wide variety of videos and motion graphics including customer testimonials, promotional videos, digital tradeshow graphics, website animations, and executive communications.
A Typical Day:
- Digitize and organize all footage for use in videos
- Provide creative input on initial scripts and throughout post-production
- Select the most effective shot of a scene in terms of look, story relevance or continuity
- Edit footage according to scripts and storyboards or loose production guidelines
- Responsible for delivering the final product to the required specifications
- Archive all footage at the conclusion of each project
- Maintain proper file structure and approach following for future edits/adaptations
- Coordinate with required attendees for video shoots
- Collaborate with content and creative on motion graphics
Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
- 3+ years experience and/or highly-skilled training in digital editing systems and motion graphics preferred
- Professional-level skill in Adobe Production Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effect, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Proficient in editing videos - from software knowledge to story-telling sensibilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines, with strong follow through
- A self-starter who is well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable multi-tasking
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team
- Proficient in digital photo and video cameras and systems
- Some travel and long hours may be required
- Samples In the form of a video reel, website or digital portfolio is required to be considered for this role.
