Who We're Seeking
This is first and foremost an editing position, but the more tools in your toolbox, the better. Do you also dabble in motion graphics? Are you capable of being a grip on a shoot? Can you fill in and be a cinematographer if needed? Let us know what you can do.

Our ideal Video Editor candidate will possess the following skillset:
- At least 2-3 years of professional video editing experience as part of a production team
- Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and potentially After Effects
- Organized, efficient, positive and quick to jump in when there is a need
- DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere color grading a wide variety of footage under mixed lighting sources, interviews, etc.
- Offline editing knowledge
- Experience and confidence exporting to a wide variety of media and social platforms
- Possess a raw desire to create and craft post-camera goodness
- Ability to animate motion graphics in 2D to illustrate storyboard ideas effectively
- A growth mindset looking to have an impact on the overall success of the agency
- Excellent team player and communicator
- Humility, confidence, a willingness to learn and a drive to improve
- A willingness to accept critique and direction, ask questions and be inquisitive, but also forge your own paths and contribute
- Some travel may be possible
- Optional, not required:
- Experience with Sony and RED camera systems
- Experience with motion graphics
- Safely handling footage on-site and on location to ensure footage is properly backed up and makes it back to the office
- Maintaining editing suite, media, back-ups, clean up, file sizes, redundancies and storage
- Bonus points:
- Any rigging experience
- Experience behind the camera
- Camera builds, media organization, setting up monitors/recorders
- Assistance with lighting a studio and occasional set builds
Responsibilities
Edit video content for various platforms, including web, social media, trade shows, broadcast and more, while making sure the quality matches the client’s objectives and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with in-house creative team members, including cinematographer, creative director, art director, copywriters and designers to develop and execute video concepts that match creative briefs and campaign objectives
- Curate and select standout footage, animations, music, SFX and sound effects
- Manage editing projects from pre-production through post-production, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity
- Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices for video editing software, techniques and technology
- Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and archives with huge attention to detail
- Adapt editing styles and techniques to to suit different client brand needs, brand identities and target audiences
