Job Summary: This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in video production. The Self-Service Video Production Intern is responsible for assisting the Senior Service Excellence Specialist in creating a visual representation of self-help content relating to all Generac products and solutions. This internship could be used for classroom credit as determined by your college or university internship guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing project support and work between cross functional teams.
- Assist team members with providing necessary reports and queries to assist the department to make informed and good business decisions.
- Assist Senior Service Excellence Specialist in capturing and editing content that visualizes the relevant self-help topic that are offered to all of our customers.
- Work with Service Excellence Manager to develop repeatable process that product effective and professional content that adheres to Generac design requirements.
- Responsible for the safe transfer and storage of all footage.
- Work closely with the creative staff to execute concepts through to completion.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and transcribe production activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in related field with Sophomore standing or higher.
- The ability to work 20 hours or more per week during summer break.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience creating, editing, and publishing online videos.
- Knowledge of full Adobe Create Suite.
- Basic computer skills; macOS and Microsoft Windows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
- Previous working or volunteer experience in customer-facing role.
- Previous experience in generating self-help or training content.
- Previous experience story boarding/content development, using camera equipment, and managing digital media

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
