The VP of Technology Services will promote and implement IT best practices, proven methodologies, and tool sets throughout the enterprise. Position will ensure the development, implementation, and operation: with the goal of continuous improvement of efficiency, availability and improving the Total Cost of IT to meet Affinity’s Strategy and Business needs. This individual will oversee the architecture and engineering of the infrastructure, data center, telecom, network, helpdesk, end user computing, and unified communications needs of the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and ensures organization-wide multi-user computing systems are well managed/administered to provide required services.
- Manage & Monitor and daily operations of all Infrastructure.
- Manage & Monitor for telecommunications network (VOIP, Internet, WAN).
- Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, legal and regulatory compliance.
- Supports systems and procedures for reporting of information resources and institutional data. Coordinates and ensures that quality customer service in the technical support area is provided.
- Develops, prepares and recommends budget for purchasing, upgrading and maintaining all infrastructure computer, network, telecom systems (hardware and software).
- Leads and provides direction for the overall planning, management, and completion of various program tasks for a wide variety of business units.
- Maintains and supports Disaster Recovery and High Availability Infrastructure and participates in testing.
- Partners in development, testing and support of the institutional risk management program for business continuity, security and disaster recovery.
- Establishes policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information and operations.
- Ensures security best practices are implemented and revised, as needed, to maintain the availability, backups, integrity and confidentiality of the information stored on and accessed through the network (firewalls, file rights, backup systems, account management, vulnerability testing, etc.)
- Prepares and keeps current documentation on all managed systems, including disaster recovery plans.
- Responsible for establishing job standards for the Technology team, while focusing on the coaching and development of the customer focused, operational excellence culture, skills and capabilities of the team. This includes effectively evaluating staff under charge in accordance with Affinity Federal Credit Union’s policies.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or technical discipline, 15 plus years of experience with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial capacity with 5 plus years of strategic management experience (leading other managers). Master’s degree preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience and broad knowledge of infrastructure technology designs, setups, installation, implementation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of security issues, crisis management and business continuity; and legal issues regarding technology.
- Knowledge of Software life cycle activities, Performing Trend Analysis.
- Proven track record of implementing, optimizing and managing office automation platforms including Microsoft Office 365 and various unified communications platforms.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing and managing cloud-based ultrastructure and operations platforms (specifically Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure).
