About the position:
A Desktop Engineer at the ING Tech Americas' Service Desk will provide knowledge and implement the strategy on rolling out new technologies to end users for a secure and reliable computing platform to "Do Your Thing." Through collaboration between Business Product Owners and Workplace Services, a Desktop Engineer will strategize with the IT Area Lead for project implementations. Along with projects, a Desktop Engineer will assist with resolving local service calls through the Service Desk.
Will provide in-person and remote training sessions to end users to promote the knowledge of all users in ING Americas. The engineer's goal is to reduce incidents/requests to the Service Desk through promoting IT knowledge to end users so that incidents can be proactively resolved through education. The engineer will also provide on-site technical support for high visibility multimedia presentations. The engineer will also support the Service Desk with incident management reports and project management.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd level support and incident resolution for the end user computing of the Americas region as well as NY Trading floor Financial Markets.
- Specialize in providing detailed Incident and Problem management reporting for IT management.
- Proactive approach to new technology to enhance user knowledge and limit incident/requests to the Help Desk.
- Provide on-site technical support to high visibility corporate events and video conferences.
- Support and deliver end user related projects on time and within budget.
- Responsible for market data services allocation for invoice processing.
- Responsible for Bloomberg license and real time data administration.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Microsoft Windows Desktop Troubleshooting
- Specific skills and competencies
- Office365 suite
- Knowledge of audio, video and webcasting technology
- Project management and planning skills
- Incident Management with RCA knowledge
- Change management knowledge
- Business application knowledge
- Communication (Phone Skills)

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000
