Under the direction of the President, you will provide direction and management of all sales activities. The primary metric is to achieve the annual Sales Budget as it is set by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Additional responsibilities include formulating distribution and channel strategies, generating sales forecasts, analyzing pricing and product portfolio effectiveness, preparing annual budgets, preparing long term sales and growth plans, as well as, achieving annual sales and margin targets.


Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets the direction and strategy of the Sales team for Systemair NA.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Work with the Marketing and Product Management teams to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies intended to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Sets the direction and strategy of the Sales team for Systemair NA.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Work with the Marketing and Product Management teams to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies intended to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Responsible for the launch, implementation, and continual expansion of the Target Market / Plan & Spec Project business within Systemair NA.
  • Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts, terms and conditions and other programs for high profile channel partners.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Initiate and operate a Key Account Management (KAM) approach with our largest, most established customers (Distributors and Reps) to include, setting Quotas and implementing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  • Create, budget for and maintain a Rep Reward system (Quotas, Quota Busters, Top 3 Rep Rewards) to recognize and compensate our best Reps across North America.
  • Maintain an effective sales organization through training, compensation, motivation, and setting regional quotas and objectives for sales team members.
  • Support Product Management with the Strategic Product Planning (SPP) process to develop and launch new products.
  • Create and implement distributor sales program to support marketing plan.
  • Assists in the development of Sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies and work procedures in accordance with company’s sales goal and profitability margins.
  • Fosters cooperation and teamwork within/between all North American facilities.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Provides timely feedback to President, Systemair NA and Senior Leadership Team regarding sales and product performance.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
  • Creates and provides accurate monthly and quarterly Sales Forecasts.
  • Analyzes market trends and customer needs and provides feedback to President of Systemair NA, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Creates Monthly and Quarterly reports (QlikView) to keep all stakeholders (in North America and Sweden) apprised of our results versus Forecast, Budget and Past Year.
  • Provides company representation at Trade show exhibitions, events, etc.
  • Negotiates price, delivery and specifications with customers and provides timely/relevant information to facility management.
  • Maintains effective budgetary controls of Sales expenses.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Vice President of Sales Profile or candidates for the position:

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication, analytical, influential, persuasion, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented leader.
  • High level of financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy.
  • Values speed, change, and performance.
  • Sales executive with 5-10 years’ field sales experience, preferably with expertise in developing and operating commercial and industrial projects sold through Plan & Spec reps. Knowledge regarding Distribution sales is also required.
  • Two to three years of experience in a leadership role (Director or higher) in a commercial/industrial sales position.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Marketing. MBA preferred.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
  • Light physical effort – able to lift up to 15lbs at times.
  • Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum or 50% to meet to meet regional needs via ground and air.

Work Environment

  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
  • May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
  • May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
