Job description

Audacy, a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company that engages 200 million consumers each month, is seeking an experienced, high-energy, high-achieving Vice President of Sales in Dallas/Fort Worth.

 

Reporting to the Market Manager in DFW, you’ll work alongside a team of passionate colleagues in a high-achieving culture, committed to marketing excellence, delivering results and ‘best in class’ customer service. You will work cross-functionally with all Department Leads, and will be responsible for the successful achievement of the annual DFW Total Revenue Goal. 

 

You must have audio experience and a passion for music, news, sports, digital media, podcasts, ideation and innovation. You will drive revenue growth by growing existing accounts and developing new customers with custom idea-driven campaigns, leveraging our six (6) highly influential radio brands with integration of our events and digital platform including streaming audio, podcasts and extension portfolio.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Responsible for exceeding revenue objectives by leading our Sales Management, Account Executive and Sales Admin team.
  • Hold our sales team accountable to all priorities, managing both internal direct reports and peer groups to drive results.
  • Develop, refine and maintain discipline on a focused overall sales strategy, with specific, measurable tactics and actions that generate revenue budget attainment.
  • Lead and train a sales team in evolving media trends including but not limited to digital audio, Audacy extension products, analytics and attribution.
  • Develop and grow client  relationships, through both individual and joint meetings with Account Executives, developing a deep understanding of their marketing needs.
  • Create audio, digital and experiential ideas that align with client needs and demand.
  • Own financial metrics of the department, including pricing, inventory and expense management.
  • Own weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting communication.
  • Monitor competition and trends in the market.
  • Engage, ideate and collaborate with our Department Head team to accelerate revenue growth.

 

 

 About You:

 

  • You must be a sales leader with a track record of success, having the skill and drive to inspire  our team in today’s changing media/marketing environment.
  • You have a history of effectively leading a large sales organization with the ability to recruit and retain top talent.
  • You must be goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • 5+ years Manager experience in media, preferably audio and digital.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, including the ability to develop talent and build a high-performance culture.
  • Data and results driven leader, with an established track record of leading a successful sales team through change and innovation.
  • Successful background in strategic account management, sales training, pricing and budgeting required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in Google Suite tools.
  • Experience effectively utilizing a CMS, preferably Salesforce, to manage teams.
  • High work intensity with the ability to manage various projects and products proactively, and deliver quality results on or before deadlines.
  • Exceptional Presentation Skills
  • Highly skilled negotiator.
  • BS/BA Degree Preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
