The National Vice President of Retail will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our retail operations across geographically dispersed multi-store locations. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales, achieve growth targets, and ensure compliance with state-specific cannabis regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive retail strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Drive initiatives to optimize retail operations, enhance customer experience, and increase market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Retail strategies with production, marketing, and compliance efforts.
- Oversee all aspects of dispensary operations, including inventory management, sales transactions, staff, and customer service.
Team Management
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of District, Area, General Managers, and Retail Operations Managers, ensuring a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Recruit, train, and mentor retail staff to foster professional development and enhance productivity.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and address any performance issues promptly.
Sales & Growth Goals
- Develop and implement sales targets and growth strategies for each retail location.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Implement effective inventory management practices to optimize product availability and turnover.
- Oversee financial budgeting, including profit and loss and labor cost management.
Compliance Management
- Stay abreast of state-specific cannabis regulations and ensure that all retail operations are fully compliant.
- Develop and implement standardized audit procedures to maintain consistent compliance across all retail locations, enforcing proper tracking and reporting activity.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory affairs teams to address any compliance challenges and updates.
Operational Efficiency
- Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall profitability.
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of point-of-sale (POS) systems and other technology tools to streamline operations.
