The Vice President of Public Policy, Strategy & Impact will lead the execution of data analytics and key strategic initiatives by implementing and monitoring processes to support organization-wide systems and practice improvements that strengthen our services, advance the mission, and promote progress on the agency’s strategic plan and Public Policy agenda. In addition, will create a consistent alignment between the strategic and operational goals identified in the agency’s strategic plan, operational and programmatic key performance indicators. This position will lead the advancement of the agency’s strategy implementation and federal and state Public Policy agendas and work closely with program leadership. The VP of Public Policy, Strategy & Impact will report to the Chief External Affairs Officer.
Essential Job Functions:
- Align strategic priorities and key performance indicators to communicate organizational impact.
- Design, develop and implement the operational and programmatic key performance indicators and data dashboards.
- Provides direction and leadership to the Public Policy team.
- Leads the project management of work plans, deliverables and activities for cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with the executive and leadership team to implement and track operational plans to support the growth and development of agency services.
- Directs the use of internal qualitative and quantitative data with the competitive market information to identify trends to offer actionable suggestions that influence Public Policy and improve outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a field related to social work, political science, journalism, economics, public health, communications, sociology, or a related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
- Change management and business development experience with government and non-profits highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years experience working in strategy development, execution and Public Policy required.
- At least 7 years of supervisory experience of paid staff and/or volunteers required.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
Job details:
- Compensation: Salary Range starts at $110,000; offers are commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience.
- Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here)
- Location: 200 West Monroe Street (downtown Chicago loop).
- Schedule: Full-time; Hybrid (remote/in office one to two days per week).
