Vice President, Print Operations
Role Summary
Our client is seeking a Vice President, Print Operations to join their rapidly growing team. The Vice President of print Operations will ensure the business is well-coordinated, efficient, profitable, and productive by managing its procedures and talent within the team. They will lead and direct production and facilities operations to produce a print product of the highest reproduction quality that is reliably cost-effectively delivered to customers.
Key Results Areas
Ensure cost-efficient use of resources and ongoing process improvement, including planning, scheduling, and evaluation.
Lead the team in planning and monitoring financial controls for the printing plant operation; Work with the finance team on monthly budget reviews and forecasts
Partner with colleagues across different departments on Print Group's strategic and operational plans
Develop, implement, and control operating and capital spending in a manner that supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Responsible for all budgeting and reporting, including labor costs and operating expenses, to manage overall costs to the organization
Develop and maintain an effective management team through recruiting, training, performance management, and clearly defined expectations; ensure performance standards are met; and support staff development by enhancing skills and knowledge through workshops and active assignments.; actively support and promote the development of a diverse workforce
Support implementation of the continuous improvement projects to ensure the success of the program by providing consistent and repeatable product and delivery quality that exceeds customer expectations through the usage of standard and cost-effective means and materials
Ensures issues are driven to resolution and partners to ensure clients' expectations and needs are being addressed
Direct workflow to meet plant productivity, turn-time, quality, and safety standards
Project management for new client integrations
All other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or operations, MBA a plus
10+ years of Print Operations management, order management, or other related manufacturing experience
Ability to work with integrity at all levels of the organization
Capable of interfacing with clients to address current and future needs and resolve client issues.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Managed relationships with internal and external partners
Customer and bottom-line-driven traits, with a record of cost-efficient results
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products as well as CRM platforms
Technical knowledge of offset printing and packaging, techniques, equipment, and processes
Highly organized with the ability to train, motivate, and maintain an efficient and energetic team
Prior experience with reading and understanding profit and loss statements
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A relocation package is being considered; the role is based in Midland, TX
