JOB DESCRIPTION: VICE PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Position: Vice President, Director of Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Vice President and Director of Operations, you will be crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of Commercial Electrical construction projects through effective leadership and organization. Your primary focus will be directing and developing operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage office and field operations teams to ensure optimal efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Develop strategic objectives and goals for future growth, guiding and supporting our field teams.
- Collaborate with the President and CEO to ensure seamless job start-up, scheduling, project close-outs, and post-project debriefs.
- Work closely with the Project Management team to assess project status, analyze progress, and review financials.
- Evaluate departments and identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee service standards within our existing client base to guarantee continued client satisfaction.
- Streamline or develop new internal procedures and policies to improve operational performance.
- Prepare status and management reports for upper management, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
- Facilitate new client documentation and onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and exceptional service delivery.
- Address client account questions and renewals, nurturing strong client relationships.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Effectively handle construction-related issues, resolving challenges promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure the proper delivery of services and prioritize customer satisfaction at every stage.
- Conduct regular meetings with team leads to plan labor allocation and address any operational issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Management and Estimation teams to optimize scheduling and labor utilization.
- Track and maintain staff safety certifications, conducting training sessions when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this leadership position, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years' relevant operations management experience.
- Demonstrated effective management and team-building skills.
- Prior experience with Commercial Electrical construction projects is essential.
- Strong customer service aptitude with a commitment to meeting and exceeding client expectations.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict management experience.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities, adept at managing multiple issues simultaneously.
- Business development skills are a plus, fostering growth opportunities for the company.
- Strong planning and organizing capabilities to drive successful project execution.
