Vice President of Operations
A pioneer in the custom fabrication industry is seeking a talented individual to manage its operations. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of management experience in a fabrication environment. This hands-on position reports directly to the President of the company. The company offers competitive wages and excellent benefits program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations in a fabrication environment
- Define and implement operations strategies, structure, and processes
- Manage the operations budget
- Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions
- Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of Operations
- Coordinate support to operations throughout the business
- Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team
- Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
- Demonstrated project and budget management skills
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fabrication/production
- Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel)
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
- Supervisory experience in operations in a production fabrication environment
- Multi-team management experience
- Previous budget responsibility preferred
