POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Vice President of Quality, you are responsible for providing an integrated framework to promote best in class quality of care including patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and performance improvement. You will ensure the organization maintains standards, policies, and procedures to meet or exceed regulatory and contractual standards. Furthermore, you will provide oversight to the design, implementation, and management of data collection, quality, reporting, and insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development and implementation of practice standards which support the delivery of patient-centered, cost effective and quality driven care and build organization-wide participation through transparency, collaboration, and mutual learning.
- Work with senior medical staff leadership to measure clinical performance through the compilation and analysis of data and communication of results and recommendations throughout the organization and oversee the institutional approach to quality and patient safety, and lead a comprehensive quality/performance improvement program.
- You will lead clinical standardization in targeted process improvement initiatives, and evaluate success through pre-established criteria and measurement tools. Support division-wide standardization of process improvement initiatives through adoption and implementation.
- Monitors organizational outcomes against external comparative databases, evidence-based knowledge and industry best demonstrated practice and guides organizational leadership in standards and methodologies to assure the delivery of quality patient care services.
- Oversees coordination of data collection, reporting of uniform and integrated measurement systems that support the quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of Quality Management and Clinical leadership experience
- Minimum of five years progressive experience in Healthcare Quality management, including management of individuals, teams, and regulatory compliance, i.e. TJC, CMS, and State Department of Health and Environment
- Baccalaureate degree required; Graduate degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field preferred.
- CPHQ or other Quality Certification preferred
- Proven record of accomplishments at organization, attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to requests, anticipate organizational needs, and maintain efficient office operations.
- Strong experience identifying, implementing, monitoring, reporting, and improving quality initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to research, and analyze operational data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
