FONON CORP (Fonon) is a Multi-market Holding Company, R&D Center, equipment design and manufacturer, for advanced laser material processing systems for 2D and 3D Subtractive and Additive Manufacturing.
Summary:
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. You will play a pivotal role in formulating financial strategies, managing financial planning and analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic guidance to senior management.
What You'll Do
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and drive growth.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities. Analyze financial data, trends, and metrics to support decision-making processes and optimize resource allocation.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Oversee risk management strategies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the executive team and the board of directors. Communicate financial performance, opportunities, and risks effectively.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the finance department.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising activities, and other financial ventures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interface with investors, board members, and other stakeholders, providing financial insights and reports on the company's financial health.
What You’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience 10+ years in a senior finance role, preferably as a Director or VP of Finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and market trends.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
