Job Summary
The VP of Media Growth and Partnerships will oversee media activation that drives Optimum's customer and financial goals in support of both the Optimum B2C and B2B brands. The role will report into the Brand and Demand team and will be responsible for setting an innovative and effective media strategy in an ever-changing media landscape. This role will oversee all media investments, with a key emphasis on evolving how we approach media, along with being a strong team leader and collaborator. The individual will help build a winning culture, foster new ways of thinking, and bring a test & learn mindset while making data driven decisions. This role requires a transformation-oriented leader with a strong sense of urgency; demonstrates the perseverance and open-mindedness to lead and drive change.
Responsibilities

  • Drive demand for new customer acquisition to meet gross add goals for the business.
  • Lead results-driven media and lead the team with a focus on driving innovative media tactics, exploring new opportunities, lead key agency partnerships, focus on advertising metrics and analytics to improve audience receptivity and metrics.
  • Media Strategy, Planning & Buying for all channels, products and placements B2B and B2C.
  • Effective communicator with a confident and collaborative style, adept at aligning internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bring a strong financial and business acumen to ensure all tactics have clear measurement and drive business performance.
  • Responsible for advertising metrics and analytics to improve audience receptivity and metrics.
  • Work in partnership with in-house analytics team to report on and improve performance and drive actionable insights. Partner to lead and develop working hypotheses and methods to test/apply thinking to a variety of marketing challenges that leads to the discovery of new insights and innovation.
  • Incorporate all media touch points targeting audience segments based on behavior and interest.
  • Lead strong full funnel strategy + DCO powered acquisition, along with top-of-funnel customer acquisition KPIs and co-accountable to revenue growth of the product portfolio.
  • Oversight of paid media channels, including Video (linear and CTV), Display, Social Media, OTT, OLV, Terrestrial and Streaming Audio, local market sponsorships / events, OOH and print.
  • Oversee owned media placements (i.e.: owned TV inventory and web properties).
  • Manage Agency relationships, inclusive of day-to-day management, briefings / Review Process, defining strategy / objectives and MSA negotiation.
  • Analysis of a wide range of information to gain comprehensive context to media strategies.
  • Ensure proactive strategic thought-leadership across the integrated marketing mix.
  • Be able to effectively apply and integrate strategy into process, working with peers to continually improve process.
  • Comprehension of competitive landscape with focused initiatives to address Local activation.
  • Develop Marketing partnerships with national and local media companies.
  • Deliver performance reporting (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly).
  • Tracking commitments with key partners for the business.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews with Key Partners.
  • Knowledge of measurement approaches online and offline and when to apply them.
  • Ability and adapt, evolve and apply media attribution models, include MMM and MTA.
  • Stays current on recent media industry trends.
  • Fosters an environment of intelligent risk taking.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a media planning across all channels
  • Strong thought leadership with subject matter expertise to drive passion, urgency, and discipline amongst larger team and cross functional teams
  • Proven track record of bringing effective and innovative approach to media strategy and tactics to drive business results
  • Deep understanding of Media key performance metrics, digital analytics, and ability to generate, analyze and interpret data to inform the strategy and decision-making process
  • Ability to translate marketing / business strategy into an effective media strategy, providing direction to media agencies
  • Proven experience building a culture of data-driven decision-making, action, and delivery
  • Strong leadership in building a winning culture and developing teams
  • Exceptional business understanding and decision-making skills
  • Proven executive presence, strategic capabilities, effective collaborator, and superior influencing skills
  • Demonstrates influential leadership with authentic motivation capabilities, and proven ability to successfully manage through transformation and change
  • Demonstrated experience developing and providing sound, data-driven guidance and decisions to senior business leadership on marketing strategies and performance

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00 - $255,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
