A company's successful operation depends on having strong leadership on their team. That is why this position is a critical one. We are partnering with this private manufacturing organization to identify and hire a VP of Manufacturing Operations.
This is a work on-site environment in the state of Virginia. Must be willing to relocate, a package is included in this offering.
Salary: $250k base plus 30% bonus
Description:
- Lead continuous efforts to achieve stable and predictable process results (e.g., by reducing process variation) realizing these are of vital importance to business success
- Manufacturing and business processes have characteristics that can be defined, measured, analyzed, improved, and controlled. Become a SME for this organization striving for improvement
- Achieving sustained quality improvement requires commitment from the entire organization, particularly from top-level management. The Vice President will be a leader championing that commitment from operations, and all organization team members
- Develop an understanding of the company's talent, products, customers and develop a vision for planning, strategy, validation and execution. Elevate the progression without sacrificing the quality and culture
- A consistent keen eye for supply chain, logistics, and deliverables with the organization's performance at the highest level of customer service
- Manage multiple site locations, 4 in the USA, 1 in Mexico with approximately 1200 - 1500 employees in plant locations, union and non-union environments. Teams are strong, tenured and knowledgeable
Requirements:
- 20+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations leadership roles. We're interested in manufacturing and operations from a product design environment and not services
- Must have led manufacturing facilities with teams that included Quality Assurance, Process Engineers, Design Engineers, Customer Service teams, Plant Managers, etc.
- A work history reflecting tenure that has longevity and career progression
- An innate passion and history for achieving measurable and quantifiable financial returns
- You're described as a take charge leader, not a caretaker. As an Innovative problem solver, you instill constructive resolution practices creating a positive high performance culture
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing processes and Quality methodologies are tools you've used to improve past work environments
