Hearst Television is looking for an experiencedexecutive to fill a strategic leadership role overseeing a variety of Information Technology functions. This role is part of a technology leadership team focusing on leading the company's networking, security, and business continuity efforts. The position will also manage the relationship with the parent company's technology services group and ensure optimal and cost-efficient support. In addition, this role will ensure Hearst Television's systems and employees are effectively and securely functioning within the limits of budget, time, and specifications of the company.
Candidates must have a solid technical background and experience in managing and motivating people. The ideal candidate will have had experience leading enterprise IT, security efforts and have the skills to interact at the senior executive level.
Responsibilities
- Oversee technology network operations, ensuring the networks meet broadcast operational requirements and conform to enterprise standards
- Lead the company's security efforts including all aspects of network and workstation security. Including training and education, compliance, testing and validation of policies and programs.
- Lead the company's business continuity efforts including business impact assessment, business continuity planning documents, emergency response and incident preparedness.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the relationship between Hearst Television and their parent company's Technology Services group as well as a variety of industry partners
- Develop technology strategies to deliver enterprise-wide programs focused on driving transformational change and innovation while balancing business needs, infrastructure, and technology needs.
- Define technology roadmaps and manage day-to-day IT operations. Execution of key initiatives in support of the strategic plan; implement appropriate business continuity and monitoring tools for business-critical applications.
- Seek and evaluate emerging technologies and educate business leaders on potential for new technologies to deliver ROI by enabling business innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Qualifications Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience working in technology roles preferably in a media related company
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience (Director or above)
- Strong relationship manager who has successfully collaborated with business leaders on a variety of strategic business initiatives
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical, presentation, and communication skills, as well as influencing broad technical discussions and decisions, across different audiences and seniority levels
- Awareness of Security and PCI concepts
- Use of innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines
- Ability to maintain corporate standards, policies, and procedures
Education:
- College or Technical School degree preferred
- Any certification in the above core items would be preferred
- Equivalent military experience always considered
The estimated base salary range for this role is between $240,000 and $260,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
