Our private equity team invests in the US, UK, and Asia markets in lower middle market companies - with a focus on businesses that have global growth opportunities. We make investments in the B2B Tech & Services sectors and are organized into one global team dedicated to identifying and investing in attractive founder-lead businesses in the lower middle market.
As a Vice President - Investment, Global Fund, you will:
- Work directly with our US private equity team while also interacting closely with our portfolio operations team and management of our portfolio companies.
- Investment theme research and development, investment sourcing and execution, portfolio management responsibilities and marketing & network development.
- Develop independent sourcing relationships and source investment opportunities, will be able to thoroughly evaluate the merits and risks of potential investment opportunities, will have strong communication skills, and will have excellent quantitative analytical capabilities.
- Upon demonstrated success and increased responsibility within Baird Capital, this individual is expected to progress to positions of increasing responsibility within Baird Capital.

What we look for:
Education:
- Undergraduate university degree from a leading institution.
- MBA degree from a top university or professional certification (CPA, CFA) preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Six to ten years of relevant work experience, three to four years post graduate or equivalent level work experience.
- Relevant experience includes investment banking, public accounting, private equity, and management consulting.
- Experience in US middle market M&A environment is a requirement, preference towards those with investment experience in technology and services subsectors.
- Previous experience working in operating companies alongside senior management is a plus.
- Established and growing network with intermediaries and investment professionals.
