Position Focus & Opportunity
Role Summary: The VP, Information Technology will provide leadership to the IT team, while overseeing the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the company's information systems and processes.
What You'll Do:
- Establishes IT goals and meets established timelines and budgets for projects
- Recommends and executes upgrades and systems for purchase
- Oversees implementation and integration of Information Technology systems
- Ensures security of all information, systems, and digital data
- Proactively troubleshoots and finds solutions for systems issues
- Manages IT staff and makes sure internal and external user needs are being met, while maintaining the integrity of information security
- Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data
- Analyzes system usage and processes to determine how to optimize return on investment, improve Information Technology systems, and foster business growth
- Researches and forecasts emerging computing trends
- Integrates new software and platforms into existing computer systems to ensure that technology is optimized
- Develops and maintains IT budget
- Establishes maintenance checks and other technology vendors and negotiates services and contracts
- Develops training documents for systems users, including info graphics, slide shows, and video tutorials
- Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of executive team
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels
- A strategic thinker with the ability to asses processes and find ways to make them better
- Passion for IT, strong focus on delivering excellence and client service
- High emotional intelligence and business and financially savvy
- Change management experience
- Experience designing and developing IT systems
- Understanding of data analysis, business principles, and operations
- User focus
- Leadership and team building skills
- Familiarity with technology and platforms such as:
- Microsoft 365/Fabric
- Elixer - MES Systems
- IBM Maximo
- Amtech - Box making ERP
- Strong problem solving, research and analytical capabilities
- Ability to improvise and adapt
- Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of containerboard or packaging is a plus
