Position Summary:
We are seeking a Head of Platform to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic vision for expansion and deployment of innovative platform technologies. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the development of novel multi-dimensional functional and screening assays while harnessing the potential of barcoding-based NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) platforms for high-throughput (HT) screening. This role will also require exceptional expertise in discovering therapeutic protein biologics and robust skills in managing multidisciplinary teams across various scientific domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to formulate a comprehensive strategy for the expansion and deployment of innovative platform technologies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Manage a diverse team of scientists across molecular biology, high-throughput protein production, cellular assays, and protein binding assays.
- Lead the development and implementation of novel multi-dimensional functional and screening assays, ensuring their effectiveness in accelerating drug discovery processes.
- Drive innovation in assay design and execution, exploring diverse methodologies to enhance screening capabilities and efficiency.
- Develop and refine protocols, workflows, and analytical approaches to streamline and enhance HT screening processes.
- Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with company objectives and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Implement robust data management strategies for complex scientific datasets, ensuring data integrity and efficient organization within platform technology development.
- Lead teams in leveraging data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to integrate scientific efforts effectively and communicate strategic insights clearly.
- Uphold high standards in experimental design, execution, and data analysis while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- PhD. or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific fields.
- 10+ years of progressive industry experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sectors, demonstrating leadership and expertise in the discovery and development of innovative platform technologies.
- Proven track record of successful strategy development and deployment of Platform technologies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Extensive expertise in developing novel multi-dimensional functional and screening assays, showcasing a deep understanding of assay design and execution.
- Strong background and demonstrated achievements in the discovery and development of protein biologics, including recombinant protein expression, purification, characterization, and functional assessment.
- Expertise in implementing and managing robust data management strategies for complex scientific datasets, ensuring data integrity and efficient organization.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams across molecular biology, high-throughput protein production, cellular assays, and protein binding assays.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to integrate scientific efforts and drive innovation.
- Adherence to high standards of experimental design, execution, and data analysis in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
