The Vice President of Finance& Accounting is responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Preparation, analysis, interpretation, and delivery of financial statements.
- Responsible for full accounting, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and policies and the maintenance of appropriate internal controls.
- Preparation of timely, accurate and useful financial information, performance metrics, financial reporting and analysis for management and investors.
- Analyze, consolidate and interpret financial data, prepare detailed reports, variance analyses and presentations for review by all levels of management.
- Direct financial reporting processes to ensure complete, consistent and accurate accounting and reporting of financial activity, including general accounting, sales, lease portfolio, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Involvement in accounting processes at a grassroots level.
- Cash management, tax and financial planning/analysis functions.
- Integrate capital market transactions into the organization.
- Develop portfolio and transaction performance dashboards, KPI & other process controls.
- Monitor dashboards and engage with leadership, business teams and other constituents to respond to identified issues.
- Provide leadership along with continuous process improvement as related to identifying, documenting, and assessing the company’s internal controls and procedures.
- Identify and implement procedures and reporting cycles to improve methods of controlling, monitoring and reporting key performance metrics. Create a continuous improvement environment.
- Lead external audit for proper documentation of internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Evaluate existing business infrastructure to determine operational capabilities.
- Develop strong relationships with management, business teams and investors.
- Develop contingency plans to deal with critical situations and emergencies.
- Perform other special projects as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting with CMA or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years’ experience in an accounting/finance operations or related role.
- Experience in capital markets operations including syndication, syndication investor reporting, structured finance and securitization.
- Strong understanding of lease accounting, lease finance origination, servicing processes and procedures.
- Deep experience with Excel, leasing, fixed asset and other related business software system development, integration and documentation.

- Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
- Demonstrated ability to translate document and/or contract language into process requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to build successful internal and external business relationships.
- Strong professional presence along with excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages a plus.
