Job Description
This role is a part of the Audio Investment team within APEX. The Audio Investment team within APEX operates between Publicis media agencies and our portfolio of preferred partners, driving standout campaign performance and outcomes that deliver on business goals for clients.
Vice Presidents of Audio Investment are responsible for managing teams who support a collection of accounts at a media agency while delivering RFP responses, campaign delivery, billing and reconciliation, and solution adoption. This role will work to ensure the team is being fully supported, that APEX accounts are receiving exceptional customer service, and that the business goals for APEX and our clients are both being achieved.
Responsibilities:
Developing Talent
- Manage the career development of the team through support and coaching, ensuring all are aware of the larger APEX goals
- Act as first POC for review of review ratings for full team while having an assessment, examples, and experience collection of team members beyond your direct reporting lines
- Creates, reviews, and supports goals of Directors
- Creates culture of inclusion, embracing different points of view and diverse hiring
- Defines & iterates on project or account ownership of Directors
Partnerships & Markets
- Expert in channel and partner landscape
- Effectively leads mid to small partner negotiations independently
- Collaborate with region leads or cross-channel to discuss account-based needs and opportunities
- Oversee relationships with key vendors and understanding their offerings while serving as a point of escalation
- Develop relationships with key account leads to solicit feedback on capability gaps and to maximize exposure to our offering
- Act as key contributor for growth opportunities in account action plans
- Lead decision-making on partner or campaign feasibility and overall fit for APEX.
- Manage the measurement of day-to-day production and profit for your direct reports and accounts/solutions
- Serve as contributor and connective-tissue for Groupe efforts ranging from Epsilon to PMX to other Groupe-owned entities
Client & Business Growth
- Oversee dedicated agencies including RFP & campaign support, client satisfaction, setting agency expectations, and fostering growth
- Manage team workload ensuring that all team members are operating at baseline capacity while fairly distributing accounts & campaigns
- Oversees campaign lifecycle, ensuring teams are following established workflow process and communication protocols
- Act as key lead on surfacing recommendations to improve or iterate on business processes and data/file hygiene for broader team
- Develop relationships with APEX's Agency Account Leads, Account Management Team, and/or Cross-Channel activation leads
- Contributes to Strategy or Activation as needed for new business or high-touch and PACT accounts
- Demonstrates ownership of agency relationships and actively solicits feedback on opportunities for service or capabilities improvements including both presenting & driving adoption of APEX Solutions
- Maintain strong agency peer relationships with counterparts for escalation and troubleshooting
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7+ years of advertising industry experience (preferably agency or vendor including adtech/programmatic), with over 3 years of management experience
- Working in a role that requires margin management is a plus
- Systems & software proficiency is a plus (Salesforce, DCM, MediaOcean, Innovid, LiveRamp, market leading DSPs, etc.)
- Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint is a plus
- Best-in-class verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills
