The Virginia Industries for the Blind is an enterprise division within DBVI. VIB is an accredited affiliate of the National Industries for the Blind and a manufacturer and distributor of products and services provided under the provisions of the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act and the Ability One Program.
VIB is seeking an VIB Associate / Supply Store Assoc-Material Handler to perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with receiving incoming shipments of merchandise. Perform deliveries of merchandise to customers.
Responsibilities include forklift operation, material movement, cash register operation, providing customer service, stockroom organization and flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the salesfloor. Other duties in support of the operation of the Base Supply Center.
Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience -
Skills/Abilities -
Proficient computer skills, familiarity with internet, Microsoft Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated problem-solving and excellent customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform duties independently without direct supervision; to lift to 50 pounds and stand up to 8 hours and to operate a pallet jack/ forklift.
Additional Considerations:
General warehousing and/or retail experience.
