Keller Lake Animal Hospital seeks a Veterinary Technician for our family-oriented veterinary clinic in Maplewood, Minnesota. We are a dedicated group and enjoy our jobs. We LOVE our patients and do everything we can to make their visit fun. We have the BEST treats in the Twin Cities.
We are looking for a full or part-time Certified Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Technician, or Highly skilled Veterinary Assistant interested in working in a fun, fast-paced small animal hospital. We seek a team player with compassion and excellent customer service skills. Pay: Based on experience and credentials.
Hours: 15 to 25 hours a week for part-time or 30 to 40 hours for full-time. Monday through Friday and no weekends.

Education: A.A.S and Certification in Veterinary Technology preferred but not required. On-the-job trained technicians are welcome to apply!
Requirements and duties include but are not limited to:
1 to 3 years + experience preferred
Ability to Triage (in person and on the phone)
Taking a detailed medical history prior to the veterinary exam
Education on low-stress and fear-free animal restraint techniques
Educating clients and comfortable working with clients and their pets directly in the exam room
Excellent customer experience skills; this is a must! We love our clients as much as we love their pets.
Proficient in surgical assisting, dentistry, and anesthesia
The ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
Strong diagnostic/lab skills
The ability to work independently and as a team
The ability to multi-task and manage stress levels with a positive, professional, and helpful attitude is a MUST!
General Hospital Cleaning
Performing opening and closing tasks
Ability to be cross-trained in all hospital areas, including exam rooms, laboratory, reception, coaching, cleaning, stocking, etc.
