Veterinary Technician And Veterinary Assistant

The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society is seeking a full or part time Veterinarian Technician and Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced and mission-driven organization. These positions provide stellar animal health under the direction of a veterinary supervisor and veterinarians, including, but not limited to, vaccinations, medications, quarantine and isolation protocols, and responds to and addresses reports of illness in the shelter population. These positions also administer animal care and treatment as directed by Veterinarian(s) and/or Veterinary Supervisor, as well as examination of newly received animals, participating in medical rounds to monitor the health of the animal population and assisting in the facilitation of spay/neuter and surgery services. Full and part time schedules (with associated benefits) considered and pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $15.50 to $18.50/hour.
