Job Description:

Heintz Veterinary Care is a small animal hospital located in NW Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are home to a beautifully caring staff and many dedicated clients. Heintz Veterinary Care opened in September 2022 and we are looking to add a Part TimeSupport Staff and Receptionist to our team! As a Veterinary Support Staff & Receptionist, you will be a unique jack of all trades within the clinic responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing general janitorial duties. We are looking for a hardworking, caring, friendly motivated individual that wants to work part-time with the potential to work more hours each week depending on the needs of the clinic. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
• Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing the clinic's appointment schedule.
• Assisting clients with filling out paperwork and collecting necessary information.
• Processing payments and handling financial transactions.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the hospital as a whole.
• Communicating effectively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, receptionists, and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Assisting with basic animal care tasks such as weighing pets, assisting with treatments, and providing restraint support during examinations.
• Handling inquiries about clinic services, pet care, and general veterinary information.
• Providing compassionate support to clients during difficult times, such as when their pets are ill or injured.
• Performing general janitorial duties including cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, waiting areas, and common spaces.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Emptying trash.
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms.
• Dusting and wiping down surfaces.
• Restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in customer service, in a veterinary or medical setting, is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
• Must be available to work on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30am - 6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-12, and Saturday 7:30am - 12pm
