Dover Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist/Office Assistant to work approximately 35 to 37 hours per week, Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm/5:30pm.
We are seeking an individual with great communication and organizational skills to assist our front desk staff with the scheduling and coordination of activities associated with our veterinary practice. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for answering phones (as well as correspondence received via text or email), scheduling general appointments, setting up new files, greeting clients, and general administrative duties.
Candidates should be self-motivated, posses excellent customer service skills, and be able to thrive in a team oriented environment. Candidates should have some veterinary/medical experience and be proficient with a computer.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in customer service within a veterinary medical environment.
Positive attitude and high energy.
Must be motivated, detail-oriented with great organizational skills.
Ability to relate well to a wide variety of people in a professional and diplomatic manner.
Ability to work well in stressful situations and to remain calm and positive in adverse situations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
