This position is the "face" of our veterinary clinic and centered around the client experience. Our expectations for employees in this role are to always be outwardly friendly and welcoming to every client that walks in the door or calls on the phone. The ability to learn new things, communicate effectively, and pay attention to detail are of the utmost importance. Animals are the reason for our business, but client service is the focus of this position. Qualities of a strong candidate will include:

- Enjoys interacting with people; very personable.
- Comfortable and efficient working on windows-based computer systems
- Strong attention to detail with good prioritizing and organizational skills
- Desire and ability to learn new things quickly
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer service position (at least 3 years preferred)
- Be able stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time; ability to carry occasional large bags of food.
- Availability to work within business hours and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work and rotating Tuesday evenings and Saturday morning shifts.
Our Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant position is the perfect position for anyone looking to gain experience while they pursue education to become a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian. No animal or veterinary experience is required; candidates must be willing to take initiative and learn on the job.
Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Check-in and check-out clients and their pets
- Collect and process payments
- Maintain accurate records of client information and pet medical history
- Assist with filing and organizing paperwork
- General housekeeping, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
