Veterinary receptionists are a major part of the veterinary team and are essential for operation of day to day activities of a hospital. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as client communication, making appointments, taking messages/urgent calls, putting in pharmacy refill requests, assisting owners during the euthanasia process, checking clients in and out for their appointments, educating owners on heartworm/flea preventative and much more.
Skills required:
* Effective communication skills especially in customer service
* Attention to detail
* Reflecting the importance of teamwork
* Answering phone calls, proper phone etiquette
* Proficient in basic computer skills such as typing
* Positive attitude and strong problem solving skills
*Ability to stay calm and work effectively under pressure
Position available:
* Part time, possible full time
* Required shifts: Wednesday 1-9pm, Sundays 8-4pm
