The Client Liaison acts as good will ambassador for the hospital, is a gate keeper in the relationship and communication between clients and the hospital, and sets the tone for the practice to build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about animals, has strong communication skills, and is able to multitask effectively. This position requires attention to detail, empathy towards clients and their pets, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Please note that this position requires a weekend shift based on the needs of our hospital.
Duties:
- Client service (First and foremost)
- Answer telephone promptly and professionally, using excellent phone etiquette
- Keep computer records updated with current client and patient information, i.e. address, telephone number, breed, email, age, rdvm etc.
- Schedule appointments
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Understand products we offer and how they are used
- Demonstrate excellent relations with clients/pets in waiting and/or exam rooms by ensuring clients feel welcome and comfortable
- Quickly understand client needs and initiate the process of meeting those needs
- Resolve client service issues within established guidelines (using procedure and policy)
- Bring a positive attitude, a service orientation, and high energy
- Excellent communication skills
- Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism, with the ability to function in a demanding, multi-task environment and accurately make decisions under stress

- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Requires ability to walk, bend, stand and reach continuously during work period
- Willingness to work long or irregular hours, holidays and in extreme weather conditions, under pressured conditions
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
