Veterinary Receptionist

Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Customer Service Representative to help us grow our practice.

Those with prior veterinary, humane society, or other animal-related experience are encouraged to apply, however, we’re also open to training.

Customer Service Representative play a very important role at Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital. Individuals that are committed to a long-term career in veterinary medicine are highly encouraged to apply for this position.

This is a flexible position that is full-time (Four 9- or 10-hour shifts). Candidates must be open to providing weekend coverage, Saturday and/or Sunday.

Background and experience:

· Comfortable around small animals

· A team player who thrives in collaborative environments

· Fast learners who are eager to advance their skills/knowledge

· Exceptional communication, multi-tasking, and technology skills

· Strong work ethic and ability to jump in and help where needed

· Eager to learn about the veterinary field (terminology, procedures, medical conditions, etc.)

Responsibilities:

· Client service and communication

· Welcoming and discharging patients

· Collaboration with other team members

· Managing phone lines

· Booking appointments

· Setting up new clients and patients

· Over-the-counter sales

· Financial transactions

· General front desk duties (email, faxing, filing, etc.)

· Ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is always clean and presentable

· Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, noticing areas of need within the practice

About our hospital:

Between our 3 doctors, talented team of technicians, and skilled support staff, we have more than 67 years of experience in the profession. Our services mainly include routine, soft tissue procedures and dentistry, however, we’re also well-equipped to perform minor orthopedic services and laser therapy treatments. We are a paperless facility that operates 7 days a week and has a history of low turnover. Our team is positive, friendly, and genuinely enjoys spending time with each other.
