About This Role:
Small Animal ICU Veterinary Assistant provides clinical assistance to VHC Veterinarians, DVM students, and Registered Veterinary Technicians to enhance the patient experience. They are an important part of the patient care team while performing patient treatments, enhancing patient mental well-being, and alerting service RVT's of any change in patient status. The veterinary assistants are responsible for general upkeep of the ICU clinical area including: cleaning, restocking, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance. In addition, these individuals ensure charge capture and medical record completeness.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience as a veterinary assistant providing patient care or equivalent.
- Ability to work with and provide preventative maintenance for ordinary veterinary medical hospital equipment.
- Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
- Willingness to master new techniques.
- Relevant education or experience may be substituted.
