Hello, talented Vertical Video Editors! I am currently looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, short-form Video Editor who is eager to find a project they will enjoy. I want to hire someone who loves to create aesthetic, on-trend content. You will love this opportunity if you like to create Millennial Instagram Reels, Gen Z TikToks, and LinkedIn 'expert vibes' videos.

I am only hiring individuals. Do not apply if you are an agency.

Your primary responsibility will be to take the segmented and organized raw video clips I send you, and edit them into Social Media videos.. You will be provided with clear guidance for each video and expected to add your expertise to produce an excellent piece of content. The goal is to reach a point where you need very little guidance because you fully understand the assignment and know how to do it with excellence.

I’m launching two projects this year. One is a new brand, and the other is the complete overhaul of Social Media for an existing brand. I’m looking for a passionate and dedicated Video Editor who can help bring a vision to life on Social Media. You will initially be hired to work for one of the brands, with the potential to eventually work on both. I am focusing on editors who want to build a working relationship long term. The initial assignment is creating weekly videos for 1-2 months. (You need to be available weekly from now through the end of April.) The goal is to continue working together into the foreseeable future!

ASSIGNMENT & SPECIFICATIONS

- Video Length: Typically 10 - 25 seconds, up to 1 minute max
- Quantity 5 - 15 videos per week

MOST IMPORTANT

-Thumb Stop - Videos MUST be edited in a way that makes people want to stop and watch!
-Speed - I need a professional editor who can edit high quality videos quickly without compromising quality.

-Dependability - It’s imperative that I can rely on you to consistently perform work up to standard and on time. Deadlines cannot be missed.

- Engagement - Videos should motivate the audience to keep watching and interact

-Professionalism - Response time, communication, the ability to understand directives, and being pleasant are important.

-Know your stuff - Monitor Social Media trends and algorithms, and stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices.

TECHNICAL ABILITIES

• Assembling and editing raw footage clips
• Editing videos in alignment with the brand’s identity and Social Media aesthetic
• Optimizing content for each platform (Instagram, TikTok)
• Proficiency with editing software, phone editing apps (must know Capcut)
• Adding effects, transitions, dynamic zooms
• Adding text overlays, dynamic and accurate captions, stylized fonts
• Color grading and minor cosmetic adjustments
• Minor audio adjustments
• Light, exposure, and brightness adjustments if needed
• Incorporating illustrative, supplemental video content
