Verification IP is a crucial component of Siemens EDA's functional verification portfolio. The recent acquisition of Avery Design Systems further extends Siemens' leadership in the verification space by adding Avery's impressive Verification Protocol and Compliance Test Suite offerings, critical market understanding and knowledge, and eminent R&D talent. Siemens Verification IP provides our customers with a complete protocol portfolio which is available as soon as standards are released, as well as compliance testing solutions that can help reduce risk and help enhance the correctness of their protocols.

About the role We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineering Consultant who will be responsible for the technical selling and support of Siemens EDA's leading-edge Verification IP (VIP) portfolio. As a Verification IP AE, you will identify and qualify engagements based on customers' needs and business opportunities, define VIP evaluations and benchmark criteria, execute relevant technical campaigns to meet established goals considering customers' production flows, provide best-in-class support, and work with account managers to determine the sales execution strategy. You will ensure both the customers' success and the broader use of Siemens EDA's VIP solutions.

Our Application Engineering team is a creative, dynamic, and highly productive small team environment. Preferred work locations are Bay Area, CA; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; and Boulder, CO. This position can entail as much as 20% travel.

Job Responsibilities: The primary purpose is to work with sales and field technical team members to help lead, define, and implement the technical engagements that support sales campaigns. Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns. Contribute and execute pre-sales and post-sales account strategies as a member of the sales team.

Qualify the technical viability of sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team. Lead VIP portfolio presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers and effectively communicate the value proposition of Siemens EDA solutions to them Integrate VIP in customer testbench or guide them to do so themselves. Proactively share account, evaluation, competitor, technology, and other helpful information with peers, sales teams, management, and product divisions to help us compete more effectively.

Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers. Ensure customers receive timely, effective support Influence marketing and product groups to meet customers' needs and shape product direction. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual success.

Job Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA OR Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of work experience in semiconductor or EDA Knowledge of one or more high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, USB. Knowledge of controllers for one or more high-speed interface protocols Expertise in coding with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, and UVM is mandatory Experience with integrating commercial VIP in UVM bench preferred Individual leadership and initiative to manage pre-sales accounts Excellent presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills Strong project management skills and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks The total cash compensation range for this position is $134,700 to $269,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. If you reside in the San Francisco Bay Area the total cash compensation range for this position is $154,800 to $294,100 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target.

The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
