As the Vendor and Transportation Manager within the New Mexico health plan, you will be responsible for scoping, onboarding, implementing, regulating and managing of all vendors and subcontractors we partner with. You will be the main point of contact for all vendors and subcontractors within the health plan and you will develop strong relationships with our partners for the benefit of our members.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and own current vendor contract status from the initial exploratory phase to internal approval, implementation, go-live, and through steady state
- Partner with appropriate UHG procurement and compliance partners as appropriate for implementation and management of subcontractors and vendors
- Coordinate ad-hoc and ongoing reporting requirements for the health plan and state regulator, implementing measures to ensure vendor reporting is timely, accurate, and complete; both internal and external reporting, including those contractually required and/or necessary for determining contract compliance
- Report of vendor performance back to the NM leadership team via JOC's, Monthly Business Reviews, Leadership meetings, etc.
- Implement and manage subcontractor or vendor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) as necessary
- Identify risk or areas of opportunity, ensuring relationships are in good standing
- Act as main point of contact for all subcontractor and vendor questions and concerns
- Work with Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Vendor (NEMT) to ensure all contract requirements are met, investigate any member complaints and grievances related to transportation, and assist in organizing safe and accessible transportation for Turquoise Care members
- Meet with vendors regularly to review performance metrics and contractual compliance
- Partner and collaborate with internal care team, providers, and community resources/partners
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compose routine correspondence and reports
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work in a time-sensitive role

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in project/program management experience
- 3+ years in managing or working with vendors
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Solid negotiation skills; ability to gain acceptance from others on a plan or idea and achieve bottom line results for the company
- Background working with vendors or subcontractors
- Ability to constantly assess risks and effectively mobilize resources to mitigate and resolve them
- Solid writing skills and effective communication, including delivering presentations
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Managed Care
- PMP Certification or Six Sigma Certification
- Knowledge of Medicaid population
- Experience reviewing and working with contracts
- Residence in New Mexico
- Excellent customer service skills
