POSITION: Logistics Manager
SUPERVISOR: Construction Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Salary, exempt
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
A Logistics Manager ensures that products, inventory, parts, or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively. The position is responsible for bringing unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to the position, in addition to exceptional math and observation skills. This position can expect to work closely with management, oversee multiple team members, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Their other responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and doing weekly counts of all products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tracking inventory maintenance.
- Controlling flows of equipment and supplies.
- Correspond with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure efficiency
- Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.
- Coordinating and directing multiple teams.
- Developing loss mitigation processes and protocols.
- Training less experienced inventory workers.
- Compiling inventory reports.
- Addressing any problems, obstacles or challenges.
- Forecasting future inventory requirements.
- Monitor warehouse and storage functionality
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- This position has supervisory responsibilities and requires a level of management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sun
- Able to work in confided spaces, and attics
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand for long periods of time.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a full-time position
- Overtime may be required
TRAVEL:
- Willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum associate degree, preferably bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of management experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Working knowledge of word processor, database, logistics, and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to multitask efficiently
