Turn 10 Studios, the creators of the top selling and critically acclaimed Forza franchise, has an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Senior Artist to join our studio. The Vehicle Senior Artist is a key role for delivering car content at the standards of the Forza franchise. This will involve having proficient end-to-end knowledge of the production pipeline and bringing leadership qualities to bring the best out of our local and remote teams.
This person will have production experience shipping AAA titles, experience collaborating across multi-discipline teams, planning and managing work of others.
In addition, this person will possess current and proficient knowledge of the latest middleware, authoring packages and techniques, as well as experience working with outsourced content, and managing quality output of remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with Vehicle Art Director in ideation and prioritization of visual, feature and authoring innovations
- Work with tech teams to develop efficiency-enhancing production tools
- R&D new processes and techniques to push innovation
- Maintain production and quality standards of shared content
- Document and disseminate authoring and QA specs and procedures for training and reference
- Work with Vehicle Production manager to optimize procedures and specs for content share
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 2+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with industry standard 2D and 3D packages (Photoshop, 3DS MAX, Maya, etc.)
- 1+ year(s) experience shipping a AAA game title
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 8+ years experience art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience using related software and packages (e.g., Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop/Adobe suite, Mental Ray, Substance Designer/Painter/Zbrush, SideFX Houdini, After Effects, Unity, Softimage)
- OR equivalent software packages.
- Experience shipping 2+ multiple projects or products end to end.
- 1+ year(s) of experience with hard surface modeling
Art IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
