POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
o Able to perform essential Assistant VDC Lead responsibilities and duties.
o Assist with identifying best-in-class talent, support the hiring process, and ensure new hires have a successful integration experience.'
o Assist with training, developing, coaching, and managing work assignments of VDC personnel.
o Support with managing project productivity, efficiency, deliverables, and budgets.
o Assist the business planning process and executing business objectives and goals.
o Assist with overseeing all VDC related tasks and resources to support project sites and pursuits.
o Take lead in pursuit reviews and project information to develop content, produce industry leading realistic renderings, graphics, animations, or other visuals to support pursuits and interviews.
o Support design build, preconstruction, and operations team(s) with VDC related project setup.
o Take lead in reviewing, planning, and managing project requirements, and deliverables.
o Assist with managing and maintaining automation practices to support coordination deliverables.
o Schedule, manage, and update VDC-specific schedule activities and ensure milestones are met.
o Take lead in setting up background models to ensure efficient project setup, utilize real world coordinates and project coordinates to support effective coordination, surveying, and layout.
o Oversee and conduct VDC-related constructability reviews and manage the resolution of design conflicts with design and trade partners.
o Manage the resolution of coordination clashes in collaboration with project teams to support efficient coordination, across multiple projects.
o Manage, coach, and train on proper model setup to deliver as-built, facility operations, maintenance requirements, and close out deliverables.
o Assist with reviewing modeling and detailing work for quality and completeness in line with best-in-class standards.
o Maintain communication with divisional leadership to deliver and gain feedback to remain aligned.
o Assist with managing objectives and key results (OKR's), report on key metrics, and utilize key performance indications (KPIs) to drive VDC/divisional/regional goals.
o Oversee digital organization of divisional folders, data management, and archiving.
o Develop content and facilitate internal/external trainings on the application of VDC processes and tools.
o Oversee field support, coach and educate teams to address and resolve coordination issues.
o Write, review, and train operations on VDC coordination work orders, scopes of work, and executing contracts, including consultant agreements.
o Oversee meetings and train project teams to run coordination meetings across multiple projects.
o Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor's degree or certification in related field; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
o Minimum of 8-10 years of design, engineering, or construction experience; with at least 5-6 years in VDC
or Detailing related experience.
o In-depth understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
o Experience with managing teams and driving department objectives
o Extensive knowledge of industry standard BIM software application; advanced Revit experience
expected.
o Ability to explore, test, and apply new industry technologies and software. Able to educate others on VDC systems, processes, and tools.
o Proficient ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
o Effective written and verbal communication skills
o Experience with managing multiple project assignments.
o Displays critical thinking ability with effective problem-solving skills.
o Relationship driven, fosters collaboration, and able to partner with project and trade partners to execute project successfully.
o Ability to travel to support company VDC needs.
